Golf Tournament Proceeds to Benefit Local Charities You Pick — Big I Central New York | The Independent Insurance Agents of Central New York

Another Big I CNY Golf Tournament is in the books. 145 golfers teed off in the sold out tournament at Timber Banks on June 26th. Golfers enjoyed the course but, more importantly, building connections on the greens.

There were several contests to win cash. Scott Pellman took home $220 from the 50/50 Tee Shot. Jill Gallagher and Zak Ottman each won $50 for the Longest Drive. Mandy Brown won Closest to the pin and also received $50. The second place team with a score of 15 under, taking home $200, was David Cecere, Nick Masterpole, Joe Putney, and Mike Crowley. In first place was Ryan Kelly, Bernie Hughes, Jim Poindexter, and Brett Bushinger with a score of 16 under. This team donated its $400 prize to charity.

The tournament wrapped up with a social reception and dinner where the family of Kathy Weinhimer received Big I NY’s highest honor - the 1882 award. Weinheimer was posthumously recognized for her many years of dedicated service to independent agents. Her grace and kindness touched everyone she met, especially with the members of Big I CNY.

The tournament supports the Project InVEST Robert Maher Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps CNY students continue their education in the field of insurance, and local non-profits.
