GET READY TO GOLF

Monday, June 22nd | Timber Banks

Get ready for an awesome day of golf, networking, and some friendly competition at this year’s Big I CNY Golf Tournament on Monday, June 22nd. We’re at the beautiful Timber Banks and you get to pick the style of play that suits you best!

9-Hole: Golf Social Great for beginners and recreational golfers. Get in an easy and relaxing 9-hole first thing in the morning before grabbing lunch at the clubhouse. Plenty of time for you to head into the office or take the rest of the day off…we won’t tell.

18-Hole: Tournament Perfect for avid golfers looking to show off their game and want a challenge. This is the whole tournament experience with contests, lunch, and drinks on the course. We’ll wrap up the day and award prizes at the post-tournament reception. Contests include Skins (NEW and by popular demand!), Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Hole-in-One, and 50/50 Tee Shot. To keep the pace of play moving, we are once again doing max bogey per hole and max two putts. We are also capping the tournament to 32 teams. May the best foursome win!

No matter the play you pick, you'll have a great time hitting the links while helping local charities. Thanks to your support of last year’s tournament, we donated $25,000. The tournament also supports the Project InVEST Robert Maher Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps CNY students continue their education in the field of insurance.

Golf’s not your game? That’s okay – come out to Timber Banks for the social reception. Enjoy the beautiful view from the back deck and catch up with friends.

Big I CNY Gives Back

$25,000 Raised for Central New York Charities

We love seeing our local associations shine. Big I CNY recently joined Bridge Street to share how our members continue to give back to the Central New York community year after year. From raising more than $205,000 through their annual golf tournament to supporting local charities with winter gear donations, this is what true community impact looks like.

That impact was on full display this morning, January 14, at Big I CNY’s annual charity check presentation breakfast, where $25,000 was distributed to 20 local charities making a difference right here at home.

Huge thanks to Mike Crowley and Jacquie Kelly Kaden for helping share Big I CNY’s story and charitable mission. Take a few minutes to watch the video and see the incredible work our members are doing in the community.

If you missed the behind-the-scenes, take a look! All photos of recipients can be found here!

BIG I CNY Holiday Party

Ringing in the new year with Big I CNY

What a night in Central New York. January 14th, more than 100 Big I CNY members and guests packed Coleman’s for our Holiday Party, and it truly was a fantastic time filled with great food, great drinks, and even better conversations with some of the best insurance professionals around.

The evening was also a meaningful way to give back. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we were proud to support St. Lucy’s Church in Syracuse through donations of winter hats, gloves, scarves, toiletries, non-perishable food items, and financial contributions to the Bread of Life program.

Thank you to everyone who came out, connected, and helped make this night both fun and impactful. Events like this are a great reminder of how strong and supportive the Big I CNY community is.

Thank you to our Co-Sponsor, Syracuse CPCU!

NextGen CNY Shop 'Til You Drop Challenge for Charity

NextGen CNY kicked off the season of giving with another successful Shop ’Til You Drop Challenge for Charity on December 8 at Destiny USA. Members and guests gathered at Bullfinch Brewpub before heading out to shop, connect, and give back to local charities across Central New York.

Teams were armed with holiday wish lists and spending cash to fill shopping bags with gifts, all while building new relationships and enjoying plenty of festive spirit. From ugly holiday sweaters to Santa hats, the energy was high and the generosity even higher.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this third annual event such a meaningful and fun way to support our community.

Big I CNY Legislative Breakfast

Big I CNY members gathered at Bellevue Country Club for a productive and engaging Legislative Breakfast on December 12. The morning brought together agents, local legislators, and members of the Big I New York legislative team for meaningful discussion on the issues impacting our industry.

Travis Wattie, AVP of Government Relations for Big I New York, provided a legislative update and led a roundtable conversation focused on key outcomes from the 2025 legislative session, ongoing availability and affordability challenges, and proposals aimed at modernizing the insurance marketplace.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and reinforce the importance of the independent agent voice in Central New York.

Thank you to our Co-Sponsor, Syracuse CPCU!
